THE STORY OF CLAYBALL
I live on a farm by a stream and I love to study nature.
I have observed mud-dauber wasps (Sceliphron destillatorium)
building their nests, which are shaped like a jug or a pipe head.
One time I found an old empty nest and since we have very
clayey soil, I thought I would burn it. It burned beautifully
and that’s when the idea for the pipe was born in my head,
inspired by these wonderful creatures
